i dont think it was until the last 10 years and leasing took off
that this idea of giving a newbie a new truck became an idea that anyone thought was a smart thing

well made it home today....after sitting since Thursday am...I was on a HP load going to VT( to get me home ....to VT) but Friday AM came around where I was taken off it, then given a Lumber Liq. load 2 stops...(as posted earlier I sat for 6.5 hrs.) I was then loaded then had trailer issue, told to come back to the yard, was taken off that load and guess what??....... put back on the original load HP to VT after losing 7 hrs. total for the day which I probably will not see a dime for.......and not being home Friday early evening like I wanted...I made it home 16hrs later...now I am not trying to sound NEGITIVE but wanted to share my experience.. I know the person that was involved with this switch was trying to help and get me home and I thank and commend this person.......but sometimes I think having little faith might of been better????..just saying

I do thank you guys for the replies on the equipment! I'm looking forward to starting here. Since I live in Ohio, near Columbus, looks like I'll be running out of Wytheville. Don't mind like I said about choosing the equipment, was just curious about the truth behind it.

That Volvo pleather isn't very breathable! But, that's the only thing I'd change! I'm greener than the truck I drive and consider myself very lucky as we've all seen some of the trucks out there!

Hola! Fingers crossed the transmission parts will be here today from Eaton and my transmission will be fixed! The transmission was locking in one gear and staying there until I restarted the truck. I have been at the hotel here in Kingman, AZ on a mini vacation since Wednesday and must say Abilene has been great during my extended stay here. They were quick to get me towed, about 75 minutes after I called and had me in my hotel promptly. I was also told that they would try their best to get me some good miles once I'm fixed. Whether it's a 2014 or a 1994 these are trucks and they all break at some point. It's just nice to have a good company like Abilene do the most they can during issues like this.
