JB have a safe journey. My engine gave a derating warning and I got pulled off my 2 stoper in sunny FL. Swapped loads and warning message disappeared. Watching the snow fall from Dennys just south of Indy. Be safe everybody!

I had my share of excitement for one night. After taking the truck back from Brian at 4am at the Loves at the 101mm in Oklahoma, I made it 3 miles, got passed by a big truck at the 104, then all hell broke loose. We crested a hill, there was a state truck on the left shoulder, the dude passing me panicked, drifted to the left, over corrected, swerved to the right, hit an ice patch, jacknifed right in front of me, just missed running me over, then went across both lanes and took out 100 feet of gaurdrail and a light pole. How I wasn't involved with his screw up is beyond me. After checking to make sure the driver was ok, and checking my shorts, I made it another mile then got shut down for 2 hours because of accidents, jacknifes, and rollovers on the stretch between the 109 and the 112. A stretch that is notorious for this type of incidents during bad weather. I'm about over his winter.

Well JohnBoy, I was going to tell you about the crazy blizzard I drove through from Flagstaff all the way to mm134, but your story beats mine hands down. I'm glad you and Brian are safe and no one was injured.

Wow, John! Think I would've had to check my shorts twice. Glad you both are safe. I suppose you could say you were driving slow enough that your guardian angel could keep up.

Brought my truck in for a PM and alignment yesterday. PM done, but they found all kinds of issues and didn't get it finished yesterday. So, sitting watching all the lovely weather here in Richmond. Rain/freezing rain now. Supposedly lost out on some good loads. I second the motion that winter needs to be gone. Tired of the cold and darkness. Bring on the heat and long days!!!

Again.....139mm, got passsed by another big truck, came across a bridge and there he went. Is it me, or don't they teach awareness during bad weather? Like watch the overpasses? 2 in 3 hours, I haven't seen 2 from start to finish in 30 years. I had enough. We are stopped in OKC, showered, breakfast and removal of seat cushion from my back end. We called into dispatch to let them know we won't be in until noon tomorrow. I figure if they need this product at 5 am, they'll be tickled pink when we show up at noon.

I've always looked at freight that way. If it's hot today, it'll be even hotter tomorrow.....

Call ahead and have the shop order you a nice new seat cushion. Lol! They don't teach slow down, but somebody must be teaching them to use high beams in fog. I can't tell you how many trucks I saw using there high beams in that fog last name night.
