Get some good safe miles. I would say rack up the miles and call over but you would have to wait until runningman0661 left because we could only handle one jarhead at a time...lol

Thanks Robert, I am doing well here, after the learning curve things have settled down and it's running very good. Send my best to Dagmar and be safe my friend. Say high to everyone over there for me.

I'm at the yard. I dropped my trailer this morning in South Hill then sat at the Loves waiting on dispatch to tell me what to do next. After 3 hours I finally called and was told they sent me a deadhead move 2 hours earlier. I never got it, I looked out the window and saw I was being blocked by the fuel island awning, as soon as I moved the message came through. Oh we'll, this one is on me. So I bobtailed the 65 miles to the yard. I have some things that need to be fixed on the truck so I wrote everything up. Rear A/C is blowing warm, right front headlight wiring harness needs to be changed, both steer tires are hydroplaning on wet roads (not good), and are out of balance, and my check engine light came on yesterday. They already took my truck into the shop. I should have it back later today, meanwhile, it's hometime and I have a load right to the house sitting here on the yard. If I can get 3 hours of driving in today I can be home tomorrow night. This load is an HP load that I need to drop at a publix in Jupiter then they are going to send me somewhere else to get another trailer to load with on Wednesday.

I'm in the same boat JohnBoy. Truck needs work and hometime is saturday. I'm in christianity taking my break. Will call wytheville in the early am to get a load to richmond or close to my house hopefully. I think they will not be happy if I go more than 5000 miles overdue on my pm!

Well I'm here for the night. And to be quite honest I'm a little pissed, no, I'm a lot pissed. At noon they took my truck, at 12:15 it came back out because they had other trucks to work on that were loaded and needing work ahead of me. That I understand, at 2 o'clock I asked when it was going in and was told in about an hour, that was 5 hours ago. Now I get to spend the night here, which is ok, but who knows when I'll get out of here tomorrow. Like the richmond yard is where I want to spend a day and a half. URGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

it doesn't matter what color the trucking company is, the shop issue is always the same.

Well at exactly 7:15 while eating a bowl of raisin brand, the mechanic came over to take my truck into the shop. So there I stood, in the middle of the parking lot finishing my cereal. I don't know about anyone else, but just hanging around doing nothing tires me out. I spent the day yesterday and today telling all sorts of stories with ScooterDawg. Sean showed up then all three of us piled into another truck and brought an empty to one of our customers, we spent the rest of the morning fighting over how we are going to split the $3.80 3 ways while drinking coffee at the Pilot. After that we went back to the yard and went to check on our trucks, then the bossman that runs the maintenance department asked us if we would drive 4 trucks over to the dealership that had been traded in. We did, then got back and waited some more. I went to check on my truck and talked to the mechanic working on it. Everything was taken care of including 2 new steer tires. The only issue was the rear A/C in the bunk, the long line that connects the front and back units was no good so they had to order one. At first it was going to be delivered on Monday, the boss overheard the conversation between me and the shop foreman, stepped in and picked up the phone himself and called the company to tell them to overnight it. It will be here at 10am, and I should be done and rolling by noon time. Meanwhile I'm in the motel watching the cartoon channel. I had planned to be home at 9am tomorrow, now it will be 9am on Sunday. I really can't complain, this truck hasn't failed me once on the road, I had write ups that needed to be addressed and our shop did it in one day. Compared to the last place I worked, this is nothing but a minor delay.
