    I am headed to richmond for orientation monday...me and my rental car drove right at about 600 miles today and i pulled over in sc...347 miles to go tommorrow to reach the VIP Motor Inn...i didnt see one abilene truck today the whole time driving...jd

    After what had to be one of the most stressful days I've had in many many years, I made it back to Richmond about 11pm Thursday night. I got 3 parking tickets for a grand total of $345 while sitting in front of my delivery getting unloaded. I called in after the second one and was told just to bring them in and the shipper will pay them. After hearing that I lost interest in tickets.


    I woke up yesterday, grabbed a shower, then hooked an LTL load with 2 drops. First drop in Waycross Georgia, second one in Albuquerque NM. The second drop is 2 coolers for a Walmart store, then pick up 2 damaged ones right there going back to Richmond. Right now I'm sitting in Tifton finishing up my 10. I dropped Waycross at 10 last night then drove here.

    You should see right many today on Saturdays we have pretty all fl loads dispatched heading south I for one will beheaded to Jacksonville 2x, one lake city but won't be leaving till morning. Safe travels up might can meet you during orientation.

    was told just to bring them in and the shipper will pay them.:biggrin_2554: Be sure they get paid nothing like being in NYC and they are trying to BOOT the front steer tire on your truck for UNPAID PARKING TICKETS

    yeh...i pulled out of sc this morning and the first truck i saw was Abilene ...then 5 after that one heading 95 south....currently chillin at the vip

    hey , i am at the vip inn in richmond...i have to return my rental car to enterprise 4 miles away on jefferson davis hwy...
    i called abilene and only a dispatcher is there....my question..is richmond a safe enough area to walk 4 miles back to the hotel ? thanks jd

    I wouldn't walk 4 feet up and down Jefferson Davis let alone 4 miles. Enterprise will take you back.
