Ok I've read all your posts about Abilene. Im due to go to orinitation next Tues. Do you have nanny cams in the trucks? How well are the miles these days? As a solo do you get out towards Az and New Mexico? How is the La quinta? I have been in some flea bag hotels... when do your benefits kick in and is the insurance good? I would much rather ask drivers then a recruiter to get straight scoop. Thank you

Yes we have nanny cams. Not a concern. If it was they would have told me a long time ago to keep my junk covered every time I get out of bed.

Miles for me have averaged 3100 per week since I've been here (2 yrs).

We run all 48, including AZ & NM.

I hear the La Quinta is very nice. Then again, sleeping under a bridge would be better then that last rat hole. I haven't stayed in it yet, when I went thru orientation 2+ years ago it was the VIP Inn.

The benefits use to kick in on the first of the month after 30 days, now it's after 90 days.

Between last year and this year my wife and I had a boatload of medical issues, based on what we went through, I would rate our insurance a B+.

Glad to see there not sending new drivers to the VIP inn anymore, that place should be called the POS inn.

After getting loaded in South Bay on Monday, picking up my trainee Jason in Punta Gorda, dropping my load in Richmond on Tuesday, picking up a Groveport Oh load in Jarrat Tuesday afternoon, delivering early Wednesday morning, reloading in Ann Arbor Mi Wednesday afternoon, dropping that load in Virginia Beach today, then deadheading back to Richmond this aftternoon, I'm ready to fly out in the morning to Boston. My wife lands about an hour after I do, then we will spend Memorial Day weekend enjoying the sights and sounds of Boston, then attend her cousins wedding. Jason will be spending time with another trainer until I get back Monday night, then it will be back at the wheel. Time for bed.

Back in Richmond. Landed at 10:30 this morning, my wife lands back at the house at 1:15 this afternoon. We had a blast, but unfortunately it's time to get back to work. My trainee will be back tomorrow, I have a load that picks up tomorrow going to Riverside.

I'm throwing out an attaboy to our shop. I wrote it up Friday morning for some codes that popped up. While I was getting ready to leave they fixed part of my problem, the rest had to be taken care of at the dealer. As I was leaving I saw my truck leave to go up the street to KW. Friday night I got a phone call letting me know it was all fixed and back at the yard. I just got myself and my things back in it. I'll stay out until a week from Friday then head to the house for hometime.
