Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I know this is from 2013 , Johnboy please forgive me , how many times since then have you gone down the Key ? Just a curiosity and did you enjoy ?

 

Looking back to some of your early ons with Abilene JB , I seen this and it reminded me of when I was shotgun training who is now my wife for Jevic transportation.
Running with the CB on a rare event in itself 2 people in a truck and the CB on. I over hear someone all worked up on the Radio as we're east bound I64 I think a Friday night heading into the Norfolk area. as it's said there's a huge black limo at a high rate of speed westbound on the eastbound lanes then I hear a MM and I see he's a couple miles from our location. I instruct the wife to get on the shoulder , and activate 4 ways. come to a stop and lock all brakes. She says you crazy I said do it. If we're stopped and he hit us the injury to us should be minimum. He went by a half minute later far left lane about 70 I believe. Since then the truck is in motion the CB is on.

 

Well I turn it off when I sleep , then again I park to not be a sitting duck. End spots center area parking in the truck stops are off limits for me any time , if it's the only option I'm gone. I try to shower during the day and park at Walmart at night , no urine smell no one taking my mirrors or hood off and all around 1000 times more restful and peaceful.
I also have severe weather alert on the cell phone in the event I need to go find a low lying area as in ditch , but most likely if the time comes for that , nature will take it's course , I have a date like everyone else , it's a mystery and inevitable. I was looking on to see if you ever posted the pay scale and I don't see you did. I looked on their Web site didn't see much there about it either . Just wondering about it and 401 k and the mapping program used to figure miles along with do they use Ez-pass/ Sun pass / Ipass and Prepass ?
I'm still with Poly , but over the years I've learned to educate myself when things are fine and going good , it's those comfortable times we tend to grow used to and then boom a major change shakes things up and that comfort zone is gone. I was with Jevic and New Century to better explain that ! Wondering if you can maybe PM me John if you wish not to put it here.
