John nice Vacation photos your grandson looks like he was having a great time, could use that boat right about now , brought my youngest grandson with me up into NORTHERN ONTARIO CANADA , temperature today was 96'F with the HUMIDITY figured in HUMIDEX of 108"F , his comment was NORTHERN right ! said he wished we had 1 of the reefers instead of a flatbed as he would get inside it to cool off and have room to run around.

Would someone please explain to training phases?
-
Stage 2...2-4 weeks
Stage 3...2-4 weeks
You test out after every stage. If you fail I look bad you won't graduate to the next stage.
You must drive in all four corners of the country. You must do NYC and Long Island.
Your training could be shorter if you prove to the trainer you are capable of handling the truck/job and other aspects.Lonesome Thanks this. -

now are you going up 95 to 50
or 95 to 13
big long low bridges either way
i love the bridge tunnel myself
and the whole eastern shore -
@bigjohn
You were right about Clivon. Cool guy to drive with. I know this, being in his truck, is only a temporary thing until my normal trainer returns and he is not actively training at the moment. But I would not mind completing a stage of training in his truck.
Also nice to see and experience the differences between the different trucks. Been in a Volvo and now the KW... Not fond of the accelerator in the KW... It's like a light switch... It's either on or off, no in between. And feels like it's pushing back at you while driving. Oh well... Minor things.
The Volvo seems to have more storage space and a roomier feel to the cab but the KW seems to attack the hills better.
Stay Safe,
MDLonesome Thanks this. -

I did find out yesterday at the terminal that while I was on vacation, I was called to take a load to.........Fairbanks Alaska, but unfortunately I was in the middle of the Caribbean on a cruise. But, I am suppose to be going up there next month. This would just about complete my driving career.
