you might as well start on planning now
the whole key is protecting your 70 for driving hours
when your paid by the mile
when you dig deeper into failures of many drivers
2 biggest reasons is poor time management in relation to how the company dispatches
many companies claim to dispatch 7 days a week but if you dont prepare yourself on wed or thursday you could spend weekends in TS's
other thing is unmet expectations
this happens when new drivers try to use past experiences in life in
what happens in trucking which is more like being a Klingon then a human

 

well me being from New England and you from NY of course we are talking about different things

Well, day one with trainer three... Heading to West Palm Beach today to deliver a couple coolers to a Publix in the morning... I hear I will be on this truck for awhile... I like his laid back approach to training and light hearted spirit... Should be a fun few weeks.

You know, I can personally identify with this statement. Being a second career guy here, this has been an issue for me, especially during CDL School and to a lessor degree here on the job too.
