Almost 20 years ago, on a 70 degree, February, Saturday afternoon, I in my Ford Ranger, was deflected across a road by nearly a dozen deer into the path of an asphalt tanker. Even though I was knocked backward about 70 feet, somehow I survived. Seeing stories like this one hit home for me.

 

Well...I made it. Sitting in California, 12 hours before my appointment time. Hope everyone is doing well.

I think I passed all of you heading north on my way down to the FL Keys today. Was hoping to get down here earlier so I could watch the sunset, but it didn't happen. It's all good. I'm not like all the other drivers who just lurve going into FL. I'd much rather hit up TX. I guess Chris was trying to make up for my messed up week last week. The Omaha NE (1340 miles) load that I ended up having to drop on the yard just so I could go to Keyport NJ & Reading PA (456 miles) and back. Yes, I was irritated, but I didn't say one word (John would be proud!). Just set the tone for how the rest of the week went (which was a bit screw-y). But, rolling with whatever. Know that's not the best way to be, but, and I have been thru this before, it doesn't matter if I tell them or don't say a word, I still get the same amount of miles. So I decided not to stress or even say anything and just go my merry little way.
