You guessed it. Tomorrow morning make no.9. Not complaining at all. You want miles get on this. I'm shutting down tonight at an outstanding 3256 miles this week with an added 15 hour layover that I'll also get paid for with :57 mins left on my 70. Rolling over hours tonight. Headed for Tulsa tomorrow.

So this is my first, first of many I hope, Christmas at Abilene. So I need to inquire, what's the protocol for offering up little gifts of appreciation at the end of the year.

In my former career I was normally in a management role and I would get small gifts for those that worked for me through the year or others that maybe went above and beyond to help me with a project during the year.

Now obviously I am the low man on the totem pole around here with no direct reports so my prior personal habits are out the window, but I didn't know if it's customary to give something to your FM for helping you keep the wheels moving the last year, or in my case two months, or for helping you out, or in my case, learning the ropes, etc.

Care to fill me in? Or just tell me "this is trucking my boy... ain't no need for that gift giving stuff round these parts"

(sorry to start something as I know some of you had multiple FMs during the year... And buying five gifts would drastically cut into a certain someone's 69k year... LOL ... Sorry JB, I am just in a taunting mood today... LOL)

I like that. If it wasn't for Dad being 10 speed I would change it. I thought this mail wasn't good at first, but now ...hell this is all I want to do. I kicking my 70 in the face everyday. It can't get any easier than this.

Phase one complete, Christmas present from the Navy, a shiny new DD214. Now a quick road trip to PA, then school to get my CDL. Then I'll be listening to "East bound and down" on my way to Richmond. :D
