I've never been one to talk about our u.s. express brothers and sisters but I see them at our yard in richmond and tonight I'm sitting at their yard in irving and I must say.... they really don't like us. I've had the pleasure of not 1, not 2, but 3 nasty attitudes so far... jeezz people, you don't like your job...quit!

Was it us or their job in general?

Just had a quick question, I havery seen a few trucks with reefer trailers an dry van I take it you do both, but my question is do you have a choice of what type of trailer you want to pull if you wanted to do reefer
-
No, you pull whatever your load assignment requires.tractorman1970 Thanks this.
-
Oh okay thanks for answering my question
-
You are quite welcome!
tractorman1970 Thanks this. -
I like to think I looked to good sitting in my truck to be on their yard. They were insanely jealous of my looks, backup skills, great posture, and knowledge of the business....lol
Ok.. now all of my bs is out of the way. The 1st..a lady. Very unhappy with her company. But everything she was telling me, was her fault. Not the company.
2nd a guy. He was that whole.. "yeah we own yall. We have for quite a while" ..just as reference U.S. Express does NOT OWN any part of Abilene.
And the 3rd well...a mixture of the above. Nice guy but the things he was irritated was directed at me because of the job we all do. He thought I was lieing when he asked about my miles. You know we run good over here and a 6800 mile pay period is easy. But he was (and I mean no disrespect to my elders) one of those old timers that's done it all and I'm just a kid and he's backed up more than I've drove forward blah, blah. So needless to say, screw that placeLonesome and tractorman1970 Thank this. -
Great Posture is very important... Should have lead with that one first...
tractorman1970 Thanks this. -
Well, my truck is still laid up so I will be running in a spare for a couple days after I return to the yard. I will be so happy to get back into my truck again...
