The stretch from Ladd Canyon/Baker City, the 310 mm to the top of Cabbage Hill, the 223mm is the snow zone.

    Wyoming is another eye opener.

Yes. The top is at the 223mm, the bottom is the 216mm.

With Abilene, that's always a possibility.

But I hope that doesn't happen...

As it stands now, barring issues due to weather, I can be on site in three full solid driving shifts over the next three days... But I have not ran the mountains up in the NW so I may be a bit too optimistic about my PrePlan.

Will be hitting the flat roads early in the morning to get ahead of my PrePlan... Hopefully... That didn't work out well today... LOL

    Ok... Define "light trailers" please.

Was looking at Wyoming's DOT site for I-80 and a few parts have advisory for "no light trailers"... I am running 8 HP cooling units at less than 10k lbs.

Is their a reason we need to, or is it just for convenience or what? Is that the new pay stuff instead of the regular email or what's the deal? I got the email, then another, but I've never tried it

No clue... I saw the employee option on the redesigned website and got the email about checking the box that I read the company policies and that's all I know...

Guess they expect us to just stumble upon what's it's for and why after we log in.

Such awesome communication skills here at Abilene ... {shrug} ... Let's all stumble around in the dark until we figure it out on our own or don't care to look... LOL

    :)

Anything under 20k is light. Any winds over 45mph, you need to find out the road conditions. If it's dry roads go.... slow. Icy roads, read a book until it's better. Do what I did 3 years ago when me and 8 other Abilene trucks got shut down, all with coolers, take a snapshot of the states online 511 and send it too your dispatcher. It alleviated a lot of confusion.

Also, if anyone should pressure you into going if YOU aren't comfortable, mention to them that you are open to new ideas, and maybe someone in the office can fly out and show you how it's done, preferably someone with a CDL.
