Hey guys, I'm new to TTR and I've been up here researching trucking companies cause I've decided to go OTR. From what I've been reading most of the Abilene drivers are happy with the company. My question is what kind of experience do you have to have to get hired on with them? I've been driving tractor trailers for about 13 out of the last 16 years but it's all been local work except for a short period when I hauled oil in ND. Do y'all think I have a chance of getting hired if I apply? Is there a person that y'all can refer me to talk to at Abilene?

Based on what you told us, yes you will be hired. With your little OTR experience they will send you out with a trainer for a week or two just to learn abilenes system. Call the main number and ask for recruiting. There's only one person down there, and sorry, I forgot his name.

Woo boo!!! Parking in Carlisle at the Flying J was horrible! I hit a snow bank and got a new dent in my truck! Don't you just love it! Roads up here are clear as a bell, but the truck stop was hellacious.

Probably because that craphole never clears out enough for them to plow it. Any of those overcrowded truckstops there in Carlisle for that matter. I sure was glad Knight had that terminal right there.

What? Only one now? Did one leave? I know one took over Orientation... Maybe that's what you are meaning?

I heard there was a lady out in West Memphis too but not sure about that.
