I agree, I'm keeping my health benefits from the Navy, so with good benefits from the new employer plus the wife's benifits we are hoping to be very well covered. I'm also wanting to liquidate our debt as quickly as possible and those seem like pretty decent wages in comparison to others.
Also they are nearby where I'll be living.

They do hire new drivers out of school. Your pay is a weekly salary during your 3 stages of training. Each stage is 2-4 weeks, shorter if you are capable, longer if not. Stages are 2-4 weeks each. Stage one is $500 per week, stage 2 is $600 per week, and stage 3 is $700 per week. When you finally go solo it's .37 cpm. with a penny raise after 6 months. Northeast pay adds .10 per mile for anything north of the VA/MD line and all of Pa. The miles are here, so is the equipment.

For me this is the complete package. I am a trainer here, and to be quite honest, you wouldn't want me as your trainer, after 37 years of this I have nothing to prove, and with 3 years left before I retire, I'm trying my damndest to put good drivers on the road. I can write a book about my trainees, last I checked only 2 are still here.

Honestly though, if you want the right training, a new career, and be able to make good coin, come on over. Hell, I'll even be your trainer, after my wife and I get back from our cruise in 2 weeks. Good luck in whatever you decide, call into recruiting and pick their brain.

Pete, I'm on my way up to your neck of the woods, Fort Wayne in the morning, Milwaukee at noon, and hopefully, Hampton IA Late tomorrow in order to beat this blizzard coming in.

Thinking it's 36/CPM with a penny raise after six months... Or someone is keeping my penny... LOL

The "after six months" is that after coming to Abilene or after you go solo? Been here for six months soon but don't wish to get my hopes up if it's going to be another three months... lol
