That's really sad news for all of us drivers. I send prayers and condolences to that drivers family.

Well, all ready to hit the road in the morning. It's a 2 hour drive over to Naples to get my last drop off. I'll be leaving at 5am. It's been a hectic 2 days at the house. I've had contractors here replacing all my exterior doors on my house to hurricane proof glass. We had the house built in '05 and at the time it wasn't required as long as you had hurricane shutters, so I cheaped out. Now that it's usually just my wife home in the event of a hurricane we decided to replace all the glass on the backside of our house and had accordian shutters put up to replace the metal panels that were only required back then. It makes it much easier for her in the event I'm not home to put up the shutters. With what all this set me back I guess I'll need to work a little harder.........right. Be safe all, God Bless. And please, let's take a moment for the driver we lost yesterday, and to say a prayer for the loved ones he left behind.

This is what I get for having an extra day at the house, I get to work the early shift right off the bat. I was empty in Naples at 7am, deadheaded to Tampa to load, and sat there until 4pm, while getting 4 hours worth of detention pay. I had just enough time to make it to the Loves at the 44mm on I-4 to take my break. Now I have a 7 hour drive to get empty in Augusta Ga this morning.

This load right out of the house was truly an abortion. 4 hours to load, then 4 hours to unload. Because of the delay on both ends, I wasn't able to get to my reload in time. In fact, I've been up and rolling at 3am the last 2 days. I deadheaded from Augusta to Goldsboro NC this morning, leaving Augusta at 1am this morning to drive the 305 miles to do a drop and hook. I had to bring the load to our Wytheville yard and drop it. As soon as I completed my computer work my reload info came over the Qualcomm, pick up a loaded trailer in the yard, and be in Denver 6am Monday. The trailer I dropped in Wytheville was dropped right next to the reefer I had go grab. I was done in the yard in 20 minutes then hauled tail and ran out my clock here in Cannonsburg Ky. I'll be up and rolling at 2am, I'm meeting my buddy Chris at his yard in KC then go grab some supper. Time for bed. God bless and be safe all.
Weeble Kneeble Thanks this.
