I saw an Abilene sitting in Elkhart IN this morning, at a warehouse on Middlebury St. Anyone claim it?

Now that it is all clean you need to get some polish and make the aluminum and chrome shine a little brighter. Truck looks good.

It does look good. But that chrome shine etc, isn't my cup of tea. It's a company truck and true I do live in it for up to 6 weeks at a time, it's still just a company truck.

I've been reading (and going back catching up) on this thread and sharing what I've read with my fiance. You guys seem like a good bunch and it appears that Abilene is a good company to work for. I appreciate all your information. He will be going in around the 16th or 17th whenever his blue mega decides he should start his home time, despite what he actually requested. He spoke to Rusty today and has to come in for the physical and drug test when he gets to town. We live right outside of Richmond, so this will be a great thing for our family.

He is tempted by the NE runs and the extra coins, but isn't sure about the difficulty level, although he has done it a little bit before. He has about 9 months' experience and has been doing OTR all over the lower 48. Since his teammate quit, they've been giving him crappy runs, most recently MS to TX then TX to LA. They've had him sitting for days at a time too, and running all over Virginia after his last hometime a few weeks ago to find an empty. Seriously. Williamsburg to Chesapeake to Waverly to Southside Richmond. Wasted an entire day. He's excited about this opportunity, so I hope you guys can answer some questions for us.

Right now he just wants to know how the miles are, from both regional and NE drivers. He was told about 3k a week. How accurate is that, and is there a big difference in mileage between them? From what I've read here, it seems the company is pretty thorough in truck upkeep and dispatch, is there a lot of downtime between loads (outside of the normal occasional hiccup which is to be expected)?

Hey McDaddy it is time to give up on that Left Lane thread
the fools will continue to be foolish it is in their DNA
TY even for a new driver to realize it is your responsibility to watch out for everyone else
no matter who is right or wrong

Oh at this point I am just having fun debating him now... I know he is dug in and won't give in no matter what... LOL

I just hope others that read that thread (newbies) will see the comments about defensive driving from those sparring with him and will learn from his example what not to do in cases like the one he presents.

But, even for a guy who loves a good debate, I too am getting rather tired of him... He has long since run out of good arguments and just repeating his position. Boring.
