Okay. I have been on the road with John for a couple days now so I figured I would do a rundown on my Experience so far. I got to Richmond by Greyhound (not good). I was picked up and brought to the terminal where I met some of the staff there. Very nice, accommodating people. I then checked into the La Quintana at 1300. It is currently under construction but the rooms are nice. At 1630 I took my physical and urinalysis (takes an hour). For dinner you have a few options but if you eat healthy your best option is to walk down to the Chinese joint pick up the large steamed vegetables and rice. It is enough to eat dinner and lunch. I was told to be ready at 0645 so I got up at 5 to pack, workout, shower and grab breakfast. The hotel provides breakfast so I snagged some extra bananas and oranges for lunch (Abilene provides Subway sandwiches). Orientation is extensive (pay attention) lasting roughly two days. Trying not to use names so that said; the guy that runs orientation likes to kind of quiz you. Figure out what a ton is before you show up! After that you take a road test for skill level get your hat and hit the road. Overall this has been a very good experience and introduction to the trucking world. I'm looking forward to learning more from John.

You couldn't ask for a better trainer. Take in JBs vast knowledge and enjoy the ride.
Sounds like you like working out, I keep running shoes, Dumbbells, and jump rope in the truck. I also have a nationwide membership to any time fitness. It's not easy to stay healthy on the road, but it can be done.
