Looks like this might not the ultimate trip for you trip, John!
Concerning the Stevens driver, I might have fired off an email, or a call to Stevens, with truck and trailer number, and describing the situation. They should be aware of their employees actions, and how it reflects on their company.
As to the other dimwit moving your truck, you handled it a lot better than I would have.....
Lets hope it's uneventful on the eastbound leg of this adventure!JohnBoy Thanks this. -
What a nice relaxing day. I did absolutely nothing today. I got here to the TA.....I mean Petro, they are playing corporate shuffle with names again, in Ontario at 11am, parked and enjoyed the beautiful weather while reading. I'll leave here at 5:30 for the 14 mile drive to my drop, then wait on my next adventure.
Weeble Kneeble, The Challenger and Lonesome Thank this. -
Got empty this morning at 10am, was at our drop yard in Colton by 11 hooked to my new load that has 2 drops, Plainview Tx at 6am Sunday and finals in Sanger Tx at 6am Monday. Nice easy 1500 mile light load.

This is why I love what I do, My office affords me a tremendous view. #1 is my office, #2 US 30 in Wyoming, #3 US 93 in Nevada and #4 Nevada 318.

That is what makes the job worth doing. A new office view every day.

Well, I'm just about finished with my reset here in Albuquerque. I decided to do one because I had the time and I wanted to make sure I had enough hours to get home next weekend. My reset is up at 4am, but because the people in the know insist on 2 1am-5am time periods in a row I can't leave until 5:01 in the morning. I'm 313 miles to my first drop, I'll leave here at 4am local time and get to Plainview by 11am. Just as soon as it gets dark, in about 45 minute, it will be lights out. Be safe all, God Bless.
The Challenger and MackDaddyMark Thank this. -
What a day. I'm sitting at the hook in Wichita Falls 92 miles from my last drop. I was up and leaving the Flying J in Albuquerque at 4:10 local time this morning and drove the 313 miles nonstop to Plainview Tx. It's been many years since I went down through Ft Sumner and Clovis, and boy was it a peaceful quiet ride. I got to the WM D/C center at 10am local time, 2 hours early and they let me in, gave me a door, then took 4 hours to unload my half a trailer of 48 boxes of whatever garbage they put in their stores. I had just enough time left to make it here. It was a good day though, 1 drop, and 536 miles driven. I'll be up at 4am local time, grab a shower then get to the WM D/C in Sanger about a half hour early for my 8am appt.
Let me tell you about these Texas 2 lane roads, leaving Plainview and driving across US 70 the 155 miles was nothing but 75mph the whole way, except of course going through the few small towns. Every time I met a 4 wheeler I just hoped they weren't texting and were paying attention, every time I passed one I thought to myself that if we hit head on, me doing 71, them doing 75+, would it be like me hitting a brick wall doing 146mph? The crap I think about sometimes, my wife always says that when I go she wants my head opened up to see exactly what's in there. The Challenger Thanks this.
