Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

It's my current understanding that we do not have anything regional other than our Northeast Region.

But, if you live in the west and take home time every other week or so, you would, by default, spend at least a portion of your time out west plus any actual loads that would be out west.

 

Called in today to see what was the status in my application. Spoke with Rusty. He pulled me up and thankfully was highly impressed with my app. Caught him up on my current status at school and timeline. He was justifiably concerned with my physical limitations. I don't blame him at all. He told me that I needed to get a DOT physical and drug screen that their insurance approves of. That means I will have to make a trip to New Orleans in the near future. No biggie. A successful physical and drug screen means a hire on. I am pleased.

Where do they hold orientation? Richmond?

 

My dad is looking for a job do they hire drivers with a non moving cell phone violation? My dad also has 2 speeding tickets with one being a 15 over...

 

He'll have to call and talk to a recruiter. I don't know about the 15 over. That is excessive.

 

Carolina Cargo will probably hire him. You and your Dad can run teams there for awhile until he gets his driving record cleaned up a little.

Yes, Orientation is held at the Richmond office.

 

Great. Another bus ride. Perhaps I can rent a car for that trip. I don't like riding buses.
