I must admit those thoughts run through my head every so often. As most roads over here are just two lanes you do become accustom to it as long as everyone plays by the rules.

You never think about it on the interstate, but let me tell you, every car and truck I met had me looking closely to make sure we all were on the same page. I guess they were doing the same thing, every time we met we all waved at each other. But then again, this is Texas, people are a lot friendlier here.

Hello all. Does anyone know if Abilene Motor Express hires students out of Maryland?

It depends on what experience you have, what school you went to, and how much if any experience is recent. The short answer yes. The training you will get will be determined by safety. Call into the main number, ask for Sally in recruiting and discuss with her what you have under your belt. She's a straight shooter and will tell you exactly where you stand.

Got empty today in typical Walmart fashion, 3 hours. I got my reload info about an hour before I was done. I had to drive 65 miles north of Sanger to a little town in Oklahoma called Madilla and load peanuts. I scaled in empty, verified my pick up info, got loaded, scaled out loaded (all good) and was leaving town in all of one hour. I made here to the Pilot at the 161mm in Arkansas. I will be up and rolling at 4am. I have an open window to deliver in Edenton NC Wednesday between 8 & 2. I should be there around 11am Wednesday. This has been a profitable round by the time I get back to the yard on Wednesday, 13 days 6902 paid miles, plus and extra stop off.
