Alrighty. I'm going to vent here, but not for the reasons you might think. I delivered a load to our W Memphis yard Thursday. Had about 3 hrs left to run. This was after being forgotten about at the Richmond yard on Tuesday with 5 hrs to run. And being told by night dispatch there was nothing. Anyway, Friday morning after sitting 15 hrs, was told to grab an mty reefer and take to our lovely facilities in Forrest city and pick up a load for Brooklyn for Monday morning 2 am. Now, bet you all think I'm fussing about having to go into NYC. Nope. Load was supposed to be ready at 10 am. Nope. 3 pm it was ready. Sitting-again. I was then told by my fm that I'd be dropping in Wytheville and would get something to keep me running. Nope. Have to sit yet again. On this load to Brooklyn. So, 1157 miles 3 days (Forrest city to Brooklyn). Not to mention my paid miles on the period that ends today? 2500- for 10 days of work. All this after I had a conversation with Cam about the lack of miles. So, any suggestions for trying to turn this around before I just get really really irritated and tell the powers that be just what I'm thinking and go home and flip burgers?

 

Oh, and how early can you check in for 2 am delivery?
