Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Most of the day was just filling out paperwork and watching videos.You'll get a tour of the yard,inside of the building things like that.They give you binder with info about the company in it,simple stuff.Just make sure you have DL,SS card,and if you have a medical card and longform bring it.One other thing if you received your cdl in the past 5 yrs they want your school record.
But overall really laid back the only thing is just learning there system,won't take long though.I'll keep you posted for day 2 tomorrow.

Yeah I was the same way excited,and little nervous.You know switching companys after 4 yrs is a big deal to me, didn't know what I was getting into,so far so good time will tell.Only 3 people in orientation there was about 20 at my old company,you can definently feel that small company vibe.If you have any questions just ask,ill help you with what I can from my 1 whole day lol.

No think i'll pass on that deal,want to get back to a w2 for awhile.There was 2 guys with me today,both rehires,1 was leasing think he said he got a 2016 kw.

 

You'll get a brand new one. Truck that is. Lots of new people going through orientation lately have been.

 

Sounds good,the only thing ive ever known are freightliners,I still need to pass the roadtest first.

 

All of our trucks are good. Some drivers have a preference. I like a freight shaker myself. I'm sure whatever you get, will get the job done. Just don't be like @MidWest_MacDaddy and mess up everything you get. Don't be hard on it.
