Pretzels and a drink. Peanuts cost on these flights.

On the ground in Charlotte. Layover until 1:55 PM eastern. MUCH better than taking the bus.

Ran hard to get to Reno and do a reset. The problem was the reset was for 48 hours. Finally got a deadhead move to Colton, 459 miles. Now I'm sitting here. By 4pm Richmond time you all need to look towards Southern California, that mushroom cloud? It's going to be me, after I send in a QC message voicing my displeasure about running 3600 miles in the week since leaving the house. That's the type of miles I run solo, not as a training team truck. Right now I'm a little pissed. If this is how it's going to be while freight is a little slow, no problem, get me back to Richmond and I'll take my vacation while you find freight to keep this truck rolling, but to sit around for days on end with another dude in my truck ain't for me. Rant over, back to our regular scheduled programming.

might be the day for rants

1405 was red tagged by the garage

so I was "upgraded" to a new Kenworth

    feeling very very ungrateful today

but I will try to give it a shot

My ranting paid off, 2 days layover and a rail container load back to West Memphis yard.

going to take a bit to settle in here
I was not expecting a moving day
and there is a load on me too

everything I bought for the Volvo had a place and fit perfectly... these KWs just don't have room... I would love to take a KW interior engineer and show him a Volvo.

Volvos are the Tardis of the trucking world.
(Dr. Who reference... Bigger on the inside and smaller on the outside.... Magic)

Ok, after an APU failure in Charlotte on a BRAND new plane, we finally made it to Richmond. All checked into the LA Quinta, awaiting dinner to be delivered. Hopefully get a good night's sleep. Catch breakfast in the morning before orientation. Rusty says he lined me up with a trainer for Friday.

    I'm so ready to roll.

My regular FM is home recuperating from surgery, even though she's gonna be out for a few weeks, she's working from home. I send her well wishes every week and to see how she's doing. It bothered me to no end to text her with my rant. She understood and took care of it. As you know, there's a right way and a wrong way to approach things, I choose to do it the right way. Oh, and I have absolutely no issue with going over someone's head. Every so often they need to be told some of us deliver freight for a living, others rather babysit it.......lol.
