Day 2 of orientation in the books. Road test was too easy IMHO. Pleased Bill, nonetheless. Brian and Bill said a trainer will be at the terminal tomorrow to pick me up. Time to put up or shut up now. I'm so ready to get rolling. This experience has been so surreal to me.

    MidWest_MacDaddy and Chinatown Thank this.

First week is now in the books, 3,654 miles in 6 days of driving. Not too shabby for a 1st stage training newbie if I do say so myself. Before the driving test a week ago, the last time I drove a Class A combination vehicle on the road was over 20 years ago!.

It's been one hell of a week.

Picked up a trl in Conyers that the left door chain was missing so it just flapped around and had a HUGE bolt in one of the tires. You could hear the air spewing out. Seriously? So, instead of a quick trip up to Richmond, here I sit at a TA waiting to get it fixed. Whatever happened to pre and post trips? I would never leave a mess like that for another driver to deal with. Guess only a few of us roll like that these days. SMH!

No separate reefer division... We are given loads to run... Some are dry and some are reefer. No separate reefer only drivers.

It will go quickly since you doing a refresher instead of the full training program. Keep the end goal in sight. It will just make running solo even more awesome... LOL

Volvo 1405 is on the yard and being working on for brakes... It might be ready if they want you to swap out. Might still be there.
