@JohnBoy, very much admire U for what U do and who U are. If conditions on the road and in the truckstops are reaching a level that U feel are unacceptable why not give it up. No reason to deal with the white volvo types.

Tone things down and go sell the real estate with Ur wife. Ur quality of life will improve and U can hang with the wife and dogs around the pool.
    Sounds good to me.
Hope I'm not butting in and if so please accept my apology.

    48Packard and JohnBoy Thank this.

I was shopping at the store and ended up help guide a guy into that dock! Small world. That was in the days of 45' trailers and COE tractors!

Why not go sell houses.. Cause those guys in white Volvos are the ones buying houses in South Florida... You just can't escape!!!

It's not even the four-wheelers. It's the deterioration of the supposedly professional driving population as a whole. I had a clown behind me earlier today. Mayflower trailer, white Columbia tractor. Couldn't keep it in his lane, back and forth time and time again...creep up real close to my back doors (I'm running 65-68 in a 70 in the granny), then fade back repeatedly. I exit , and at the last second, he dives in behind me. Just a real bozo, but becoming more common. I'm with JohnBoy...I've had enough.

Is it dangerous do you think to drive a truck with a 61 governed speed? To a rookie's ears..sounds like it's not overly great driving trucks but I still have this instinct to give it a try.

I lasted about 2 weeks in a truck that was governed at 60. I didn't think it would be a problem. WRONG!
You're on the interstate, and you grab the left lane to let someone merge. They come in, and then decide they are going to go 60. You can't back out, because now traffic is stacked up behind you. Can't get in front of them, you're locked at 60.No win situation.
