Dropped our load at the receiver, bobtailed to the yard, showered then headed over to Walmart to pick a few things up to carry me over till I get home next week. We got our reload, picked a trailer up at the yard with 3 stops going to Southern Ca. We're taking it as far as our West Memphis yard, hometime next weekend.

Did it mention why the need for 3 separate switches to turn on headlights, truck and trailer clearance lights?

Can't fathom why all 3 being on one switch wasn't within their capabilities.

KW still doing that with the switches? Bought my 1st in 78 and the switches were "split" then for dimming for passers and blinking to those passed

Maybe they do it so the dash looks well equipped rather than have a bunch of switch blanks that looks cheap.

The first day I was in truck i was thinking of ways to attach all 3 together.

They have a spring loaded button on end of turn signal stalk for the "thank you" trailer lights but nothing specifically for "come on over" ones.

Volvo has them licked with buttons on the steering wheel for both functions

Back in the day the switches were toggles and we used to put the extensions on email for easier feel

Been wondering something similar myself... I was going to get out and see just which lights came on with which switches.

Not only three switches but the left switch has two different settings as well. And a switch on the turn signal too. I think it just blinks the trailer lights which is what I've been doing with the right switch of the three.

Volvo has one switch to turn lights on/off then two buttons on the steering wheel to flash either the headlights or trailer lights.

    Yet another engineering mystery.
