I got my reload info late this afternoon. I have to load in South Bay, 50 miles from the house, at 3pm, then I need to head over to Tampa and pick up Carl. I'll be dropping this on the Richmond yard on Wednesday.

    4mer trucker Thanks this.

Out of time in Eaton, Oh with a refer load that was supposed to be delivered this morning.
This after 2 straight loads with ZERO chance to be delivered on time. 3 in a row.

My new CB handle is Garbage Man.

Speaking of which, do we have a "company CB channel"?

Gotta work on that trip planning... LOL

Not sure of a company channel... Never on the yards long enough to talk to others there... LOL

No trip planning to work on. 10 hours on my 70 to do a 15 hour trip. I call that the P3 syndrome.

I can only get a load there Legally, Safely and as Fast as either will allow. Granted, this load has been a comedy of errors, but my newness mixed in with exhaustion don't help. Hopefully, I'll get some MUCH needed R&R this weekend. I need to go to the grocery store bad. I like the running, but I need some supplies for all this loading and unloading down time.

Apparently that's not just trucks, trailers as well. The company I work for just received 30 new Wabash trailers (nicely spec'd as well, not just plain Jane dry vans) and at least half of them were already dog tracking. Some of them significantly. This along with leaks in the roof corners and air leaks around the tandems... Rubbish.

    Don't all trailers dog track?
    By design I mean... :)

But yes, poor quality off the line, especially leaks in a "dry" van, is just sad.

Was half joking about the trip planning... But good trip planning will at least help to inform them ahead of time, and cover your backside, that a load may have issues arising in the future.

And sometimes the planners know you can't complete the load but are pushing the freight closer to be swapped out with someone else to finish the delivery. Or they know it's going to be late and have already touched base with the customer.

I have been on a few loads to Indy that were ASAP since everyone involved knew it was going to be late no matter who's behind the wheel.

The main things are communication of upcoming issues and giving it your all in the process.

Enjoy the R&R this weekend!!! :)

    KD5AXG Thanks this.

Requested home time in TX for the 13th. Loading at Pepsi in Indy to deliver to Carlisle, PA tomorrow. First solo load that I have hours to deliver on time. Really need a break, tho. Oh, well.
