I wouldn't say I was naive I just want to avoid the pee bottle as much as possible. I have cooled down many a tire and drowned twice as many antsso it's not like i need clean fresh potpourri scented facilities.
It has been pure luck that I was in locations where I could do that outside though.RebelChick and JohnBoy Thank this. -
Smooth sailing down I95 & I4 when I went down to the delivery location this mornjng and found it ok. I walked around the back of the store and even planned my best entry point to setup for the dock.
The good day ended there. I tried finding somewhere suitable to stage and ran out of luck. Tried what i thought would be a mom pop truck stop but it was just a gas station barely big enough for a pickup. There was a dead end road really near with a few trucks parked there but on closer look it was surrounded by sugar sand and evidence of many trucks getting stuck in it. No way I am risking getting boxed in or buried in sand.
After touring the ### end of Kissimmee for too long I figured i should just head for a proper truck stop even though it was pretty far away. Got to haines city Pilot and it was packed...at 1230 in the afternoon. There were a couple reserved spots but they looked trickier than i felt like dealing with and paying for.
Wound up even farther away at a rest stop on I4. There were signs stating no overnight camping but i am hoping that is directed at RVers and not truckers as i plan to stay here until the morning.
Gps says 30 miles/40 mins but unfortunately I4 traffic doesn't care what rand mcnallly thinks so i am giving myself 2.5 hours to get there. -
It was another Abilene driver i saw at the fuel island that was able to contact someone that could fix things.JohnBoy Thanks this. -
