I am a firefighter with Chesterfield. I'm doing local runs part time, started a few weeks ago. Not as much money as overtime, but something different for the mind to work with. I have seen the changes in the local PD force over the last 11 years and can sympathize on a change.
Good luck here, and the owning family are hard workers that built this from little to nothing. You treat them and their equipment right you will get the same back.

I'm back in the good old USA!!!! Of course the only hiccup was coming back into the US. They charged me $13.05 to cross back over. When I questioned what the charge was for the nasty old lady with the gun on her hip, that hadn't been out of its holster in probably 25 years, told me that if I didn't like it, I could stay in Canada, at which point I politely told her that if I did that, I would have passed up a golden opportunity to engage in a lively conversation with the nastiest border guard I have ever dealt with in the last 38 years. She got huffy and told me to have a good day.

You are a far braver man than I. I make it a point in life to never get snippy with anyone carrying a gun.

That might be true, but all it was at the moment was a lively echange of words. The gun? She reminded me of someone that would have, 1) not been able get the gun out of the holster, or 2), if she did, she would have shot herself in the foot trying to get it out.

They charged me that too... Free to leave but cost to come back... LOL

The part that I thought was funny was the guy that told me about the fee could have just collected it from me and let me drive away but instead, had to drive the truck around a couple buildings get out of the truck to find a door to stand at a window to wait on some guy on the phone ... To then pay the fee.

I guess everyone else uses a toll device to pay on the fly? But if one doesn't cross the board often I can't see that being useless.

    And why the .05??? LOL
