Geez, my memory isn't going as quickly as I thought

Wow, now I wonder how old I was when we went thru the tunnels and the streets of the Big Apple

No youll just go through orientation, but its best to call them and setup your drugscreen and physical beforehand,so you don't have to deal with it when you get there.

If it's current, no worries... One guy in my orientation had like 8 months (clean) with a mega and was assigned a truck before the rest of us got assigned a trainer.

And as @Finfn1372 said, just get your ducks in a row before you show up... Might call to verify with a recruiter but probably no issues.

Catching up a bit, I ended up moving to the Flying J north of Richmond and got my laundry done. Then, they got me a over the holiday run to deliver in Dallas on the Tuesday after Memorial day.

So, I got some MUCH needed time with the wife today. Very relaxing, even though I did drive 6 hrs this morning to get here.

I was told that the rider policy doesn't kick in until 90 days, but I truly, dearly hope that a way can be found to get her on the truck with me sooner. It would benifit Abilene and us greatly. But, I don't know who to talk to about this. And as far as the rider fee, TAKE MY MONEY!!!!

I'm in Richmond tonight... Let me ask a few questions in the morning before I leave for CT.

    I thinks it's a win/win... But what do I know.

Especially since you already have a prior driving record and not a newbie like I was. Might get some extra credit for that towards the 90 days.

Did Abilene accept your cdl physical from school or did you have to take another one?

Had to have one done by their contracted people... They use a chain ... Name starts with "Con...." something... I just drove to Charlotte to get mine done so it was completed before I showed up in Richmond.

You could go home more until such time as she can get on the truck. Some things are more important than money, IMO. Besides the 90 days will go by pretty quickly.
