Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Just got my reload info, I need to deadhead 615 miles to Heyburn Id and load a load of French Fries tomorrow going 835 miles to Riverside Ca for Wednesday morning. Today is going to be a day of r & r. David is in the middle of a reset so I will drive over to Heyburn to load then he will be done resetting to help me get it down to Riverside. I can see how this is going to play out, we'll get empty Wednesday, run over to the Colton yard to grab a load and deliver it Friday in Virginia. Did I say that I'm tired?
I'm off to Walmart.

Left Jubitz at midnight last night. Drove over Cabbage in dense fog and made it to Baker Or for breakfast. Got to Heyburn at 11am and was done loading at 2pm. I developed a right front tire issue and have it arranged through our shop to be at Las Vegas Freightliner 6am in the morning. It's just a balance issue so I should be done by 10. The way it's looking I should be in Riverside by 2pm. If that's the case I'm going to see if I can drop this load in our Colton yard. David is doing the 546 miles tonight and I'll finish up tomorrow.

 

Got to Las Vegas about 2am local time. At 5am local time my qualcomm came to life telling me to drop my load at the Colton yard. Then the next message was my new load info. I had to grab an empty reefer and go to a cold storage facility 4 miles away and load a produce load that delivers on Thursday in Henderson NC at 5am. I had to skip the shop in Vegas so I'll just get it done in Richmond. Right now we are getting loaded, then it will be eastbound and down. Be safe all, God Bless.
