Keeping the temp low inside the cans reduces their internal pressure. That way the pressure difference inside to out is low enough for the seals to handle the strain.

Good question. Don't really know why. They did have reefers there that were being loaded.

That's never an issue here. They will always adjust the miles if need be.

I got that BH message twice the past two weeks. Once when I was already there the night before. It is an auto message from Bo. Don't know if we've had any BH delivery problems lately or not.

Had a little discussion with Allen the other day. Come to find out he refused my 9.75 hours delay at Kroger. Said I was late. I asked him how is it fair that someone there screwed up a swap which made the load late my fault. He said it was b/c I was shut down for 13 hours. Then I asked him why is it I complied with the last message I got was to "hang tite" and the Kimberly calling me at 0730 again became my fault. His answer was b/c I was still not moving after Kimberly called me. Then when I told him that shutting down at 2044, becoming available at 0644, Kimberly calling me at 0730, having a stomach issue in having to run inside then a PTI and rolling at 0833 constituted 13 hours. Guess with me having facts and keeping my cool and wits about me he didn't have a leg to stand on. Now if I can get Keith or Dennis to call me back like they are supposed to to answer why there is a $110 Driver Advance listed on my pay stub for them to give that back I'll be happy. I told Allen he really needs to get a hand on his people as their communication skills are surely lacking and it is putting a strain on us.

Good for you. You are definitely not the only one having issues with those things. It is pretty much every driver I have talked to. One guy had $1800 deducted before they figured out the loan he was paying back wasn't his. And detention, that's a joke. They may as well not even offer it. Even if you are on time, you have to call and fight them for it. And in my case, the miles issue. I finally got ahold of Rusty and lo and behold, my next load had me picking up in New Albany IN and heading to Vegas. Delivery is Tuesday. But, it is a case of too little, too late for me. I have been getting screwed for months and the only reason anyone bothered to take notice is when a verification form from another company came across the fax. Even then, nothing was really done but lip service.

I AM not trying to speak for everyone on this. I know some have a great experience with the company. Mine has not been horrible and I would tell people to apply. In fact I have, even after I started having issues. I try to treat people the way I want to be treated and to have Alan treat me like a dirty, no good driver when he questioned why I took a shower and charged it to them. (Because I didn't have shower credits, it was July, I was sweaty from fighting landing gear and tandms, and most importantly, Kolon said it was ok.) To the snotty Qualcomm msgs from Kimberly and her not answering any of my calls. Well, I AM not just some dumb driver who doesn't have a clue about this life. Even though I only have a year of experience, I have been around truckers all my life. Have ridden with them, helped with paperwork, etc. I have worked in warehouses, heard the horror stories. I have also been what this company calls planner, fm, and dispatcher all rolled into one. If I treated my drivers like this, I would have been terminated. So it does offend me to be treated poorly and have my issues dismissed as if they do not matter.

I apologize for the bit of a rant, and I know I haven't been posting very much, just haven't had much to say that was positive. And being the good southern gal I am, well if you can't say anything good and all that. Abilene is going thru growing pains, true, but when the same issues come up with driver after driver, you would think they would figure out it is not the drivers, but in the office. I have seen dispatch look at the caller id and say I'm not answering that. I know the issues I have had and know others are having the same ones. If the mass exodus hasn't awakened them, I fear they will become like the mega carriers. Again, just my opinion. Everyone stay safe out there. Winter is upon us.

I always wondered about those green Volvos when I would see them back when I was OTR. They sure are fast, right?
