Thanks RebelChick, I appreciate the info. I've never refused a load but I hope I get some seat time (refresher) before and if I get sent there. lol

That attractive lady would have been either my mom or oldest daughter since they were riding along. So that would be an awkward conversation.
On another note; I have had a sneaking suspicion that my truck was leaking from the roof but could never really tell. Always caught something from the corner of my eye during storms. But heading north on 77 to Ohio during a storm I got my confirmation. Nice steady drops falling in my lap and passenger seat the entire ride made it pretty obvious!
Gotta love it.
Sorry to read about your problems in NY Redtwin. Hopefully you get rewarded with a sweet weeks end.Redtwin Thanks this. -
@WotansVolkman , if you have a KW, it's coming from the lights on top of the tractor. Wrong seals put on there. Several of them have had that problem.
Redtwin Thanks this. -
I have 6 weeks experience and I made it in (not out yet though!) here. My woes posted earlier were because I didn't use the recommended routing.
While I would be happy never coming back now that I have been here and have an idea what to do I would be ok coming back.
I would recommend coming here at least once with someone experienced. Nothing beats having help with where to go and what to do.WotansVolkman and chralb Thank this. -
It was a broker load, 12 hrs on pickup and 4 on delivery. It is possible broker detention pays less. I will call payroll tomorrow.

4000 miles last pay period. yay.

I hear ya. After 6 weeks driving again I'd be more comfortable as well. I mean it's not like I haven't been in just about every other major city around the country but I never did New York. Philly had a few fun times .... lolRedtwin Thanks this.

As I've been digging around checking out various companies here, I'm hearing quite a lot of drivers talking about less than normal miles the past couple months. Seems there's been a noticeable slow down in freight. Trucking has cycles but I'd think this time of year things would be hopping pretty well. A sign of the overall economy I guess.
