As mentioned above, our trucks have "hill assist" which basically applies the breaks a bit until you have enough forward power to overcome them then it releases.

But yes, sounds ugly at times. Push a button and you can turn it off if you wish.

Oh no... Not a good thing for anyone involved.
I can't imagine being the engineer of the train.
Seeing it unfold and knowing you can't stop in time.

Worst thing I have witnessed in my short time was a dog getting run over by a big rig also on I 40 in eastern AZ. The look in that dog's eye was awful. #### I 40 anyway!

Oil pan for my truck came in yesterday. But......

Mechanics shop is WAY understaffed. A mere 3 to 4 hour job is being pushed back for lesser problems. Looks as if we'll have to change trucks, again.

We did it systematically. Bedding off, bedding on. Compartment empty, compartment full. And so on. No packing involved. Went quite smoothly, to be honest. But, perhaps in another few months, or year or two. Not week and a half. Especially as I REALLY like this truck. And, It should have been fixed yesterday, today at the latest. I don't want the chance of getting a lesser truck again. Not all trucks are equal. And I have a good one this time.

    MidWest_MacDaddy and Lonesome Thank this.
