It sounds like it has what I'm after. I don't know bud, as I read about your start with Abilene I envisioned my learning curve would be about the same. Maybe we both stress a touch more than we need to? I'll try not to abuse the number .... too much .... lol :p

Call me if you have any questions. Orientation will be a mental overload. There's no test or anything. Just write down things you might need clarification on, and we will go over it when you get on my truck.

Already bought a new notepad. Other than how many macros you need to send each trip, I'm wondering how much paperwork there is. WS was very redundant with filling out their trip packs. Between paper logs and them it could take an hour or more at the end of each day. The macros were pretty standard I guess.

    Accept the load
Arrive shipper - Depart shipper (if from terminal just depart)
Hours available end of each day - ETA and hours available then <<(Always thought that one was rather silly)
Arrive receiver - Depart receiver (if at terminal just arrive)
    MT&A - Hours available

Never used elogs so maybe they already know the hours available? It'll be fun to learn.

And oh, when we run is it a team setup?

I'm outta there as well. Thank the Lord!! My poor truck! Delivered in Wintersville and got a move to Groveport. Then got a call to see if I had picked up an mty. Yup. So dropped the dry box at genpak, picked up a reefer that was there, took it to BH, and picked up a load for Durham NC Tuesday. Short-ish run, but I've got next to no time so it fits nicely. So for the 4th, I'll be parked on a street in front of a BH distributor. Woo hoo!!

Chris, 2nd in command...almost laughed out loud. But in all seriousness, he has come a LONG way since he started. He's a good guy most of the time. Higgins is as well. When I first started, I didn't know jack and I'll be the first to say it. Needed directions to find my way out of a wet paper sack. And just a little over 3 years later, I still don't know jack. But I can find my way out of that wet paper sack! LOL

No clue.... When it first came out I could not sign in... They said something about working on it and I never heard anything about it again.

Our paperwork is minimal. For each TO # (trip) we have a transflow cover sheet. Then the signed bills and any receipts you might have. Get the transflow app, it takes all of 10 minutes to fill out paperwork then transflow it in from the comfort of your truck.

Our Macros are simple and follow a certain order.
Load acceptance, begin trip, arrive shipper, depart shipper, arrive consigned, depart consignee, end trip. We have a free form Macro to communicate with your individual FM. There are others, OS&D, and of course, the one that I consider the most important one, the home time Macro. All of our trucks have EZpass/Prepass.

Your HOS is on the load planner and FM screen when your truck is pulled up, if they are doing their job, they will know your hours. What I do when I get to the end of my 70 is send in a free form with my available hours.

You coming in as a refresher will be a team setup. Like I said, it seems to me that the thing I will work on with you is the QC and our policies and procedures.

LOL ... When I ran with WS I made sure they did. At some point, I think they got tired of my calls and starting keeping up. :D

Sounds like a simple, logical order on macros. I'll have to get the transflow app. Never used transflow (although I saw many use it at TS's). We had to overnight FedEx our trip packs or hand them in at one of our terminals by Friday night.

Team huh? That'll be interesting. I never could sleep in a moving vehicle. Always blew my mind how some folks could actually fall asleep while driving.

Hold your horses. We are still trying to figure out who Johnathon is and now you mention a Jack?. Maybe he is my new driver manager.
