Just too clarify something, I'm pretty smart, have a 4 year college degree, started my own business while trucking then sold it for a boatload of money, traveled the world and married the most wonderful woman on earth, so for me to follow policies and procedures, its a no brainer, I do, to the T. So when they said to me not to call the load planner, that's exactly what I do, not call them, my educated self knows not to call them, my educated self was never told not to email them.

I actually never spoke to or emailed the load planner. But I knew who she was and they knew that I knew. I'd send a free form to my dispatcher and simply say please let MaryAnn know I'm waiting on one. Normally got a pretty quick load reply.

Our system here works, and then doesn't work. It ebbs and flows. Just like every other trucking company out there. What's the saying? Sometimes you're the bug and sometimes you're the windshield. Yes, we tend to get twisted when we're the bug, but when we're the windshield, all is right with the world.
Don't worry about what time is put on the World Market paperwork. When you send in your arrival, Abilene can see where you are. So no worries. Those loads are a huge PITA. Used to get them a lot coming off home time due to the proximity to my house, but glad I don't so much anymore. Once I got the one that was 3 stops up in the NE out of there for Bed Bath & Beyond and had to unload the truck, voiced my extreme displeasure, and said do not send me on this again, they haven't done it but once. Only it was to TN. Nashville. Sucky dock there too.
Broker loads you just get used to having to do more leg work. Especially if it's a Schneider load. That guy rarely answers his phone. Have gotten all the way to the shipper before actually getting a TO number from Abilene. -
After that fiasco delivery in Dublin done. Then, they bobtailed us home. Several months of mail to wallow through. Try to get some necessary things done. And, with any luck, get by the school for a visit.

It was more the nerve of her putting the time they actually started unloading.
