I have. Too many times to count. The NE is a time waster, 14 hr clock waster, no mileage, and no money. .10 a mile to run the NE is a bloody joke. I am a runner, not a sitter. When I sit, I get tired. Then I have to stop sooner. If I can get rolling and stay rolling, even with RR breaks, I did 680+ miles in 10.5 hrs when heading towards Denver last week. I was even asking them if there was still land west of I85. I have gotten 3k miles in a week once since I have started solo. I don't care if the run is 300 miles, or 3000 miles. What I care about is how many miles I can make in a week. Abilene advertises an avg of 3k miles a week. I realize that is an average estimate. But when I consistently get 2.2k miles a week, how do they expect me to be happy about it? If they do expect me to be happy with dismal mileage a week, then they are sadly demented.
From my "training", I posted miles. LOTS of miles. They sent us to Cali, Wisconsin, West Memphis, back to Cali, North Texas, South Texas, then I got stuck on the Devil's highway. I'll run that #### Sabra load to Hall's Warehouse every day of the week if:
1) Buy me a house near the AME-R yard.
2) Make me hourly for the runs.
I know they won't. I really don't want to live over there, anyways. I'm a Texas boy. I'm a Southerner. I like wide open spaces and go-go-go. But, as of yet, I have not seen this supposed "tons of miles if you want them". (Yes, that is what I was told by Rusty, Bryan and Bill.)
Now.......SIGH.....I think my truck has an oil leak, AGAIN. So, when I get off of home time, back in the shop it goes, because they will route me back to Richmond to get it fixed. Is the West Memphis terminal dead?

Man that's unfortunate, maybe its time to talk to someone higher up,about changing dm's?I know how it feels to get the wrong end of the stick, experienced at my old company, that's why I made a change.
When you get in Richmond ask if you can speak to a higher up,sometimes you have to take matters in your own hands or things will never change. -
@KD5AXG my first 6 months I was in the NE a lot. I think maybe because I had not run up there at all with my previous job. Now I hardly go up there. As for going to the other side of the states, well, it's nice to do once in a while. Just talk to your fm and their supervisor and see what they say.

Ok, so if you don't go in to grab the official copies what do you submit with the cover sheet? Or do they just need to know that we scaled out on that load?
That's the only reason I am still going inside at all is to grab the official weigh master copies. -
A nice 850+ run but too bad I can't do it in one drive session, plus possible traffic too...
It was a nice drive by the house but 24 hours just wasn't enough time. Shrug... Oh well.Finfn1372 Thanks this. -
