That also is news to me. Never knew we did washouts at the yard.
I think I will leave the blue beacon washout until I'm told I *must* get one before loading etc.
I have already had issues with a room being charged back to me and having to deal with payroll to fix it. Would rather avoid that if I can.5speed Thanks this. -
Buy a carbon monoxide detector and stick it in the bunk. I keep meaning to do the same but haven't got round to it. I will be buying one next time I can after reading your post.
Wally world has combination co2 and smoke detectors for about $25.WotansVolkman and JohnBoy Thank this. -

This is how you get to know the secrets.. the unwritten codes if you will. We all learn day by day. And just FYI, when I do a BH load and they put empty pallets back on me I always unless the docks are full, drop that trailer in a dock. So many times I need an empty reefer to open it up and see empty pallets in the back. Maybe the docks were full, or the driver was lazy and just dropped it.

Good job getting off at t stop. They may have tried doing more to get you to stop if you stayed on highway.
I never speak about what I am carrying. Those BH liveried trailers sort of defeat any attempts at discretion though. -
Never had the pallet issue. You would think they would inform new drivers about the trailer washout or put a sign up at that bay.

This is one of the biggest reasons why I wish we could be armed out here. I have bad knees and a bad hand, so I'm easy pickins. Kudos for keeping your head on during this. Truck stops are scarce out that way.
Sitting in Forrest City after dropping my mt refer. Still have 2/11 and 3/14 left currently. But, with normal dispatch times of 4 hrs, I'm expecting an overnight run at 1 hr left. LOL
I have to keep laughing, or I'll....just not laugh.
This is an unofficial good night to all. -
When Chralb and I first got aquatinted, he mentioned how much he enjoys night driving, since leaving Richmond last Wednesday this has been his view. I'm going to bed now. I'll be up rolling at 9am, after rush hour, in daylight.
Lonesome and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
