Another eventful and educational day here. Left beckley wva and dropped in gatorade and then the adventures began. Had more fuse issues manifesting in multipl light issues on trailer, get fixed at ya, scale, slightly over gross with 1/3 tank fuel and a reefer

Go back and am given door, but tandem pins wont release, told to put it in anyway. Nothing can get pins to retract, including a call to @MidWest_MacDaddy for guidance. Called shop and we all know how helpful THAT was. So back to ta for a fix.

Rescaled and happy this noob did the math right and got legal scale on 1st go after pallet removal.

Noneventful trip rest of way, though 16 was used.

So the tandem pins would not release on my 5100 series wabash reefer. It has a small silver easy to push pull knob, not the black spring loaded one. Turns out this trailer has a manual pin retraction that is air actuated. It was sticking today. Give it a LIGHT push to driver side and it retracts. Just dont be in its way!

Take your hammer, and smack that bar so it swings towards the drivers side. That will in turn, pull the pins in

And yes you did it correctly. We have many trailers like that. Usually all of them have the red button. All others have the black button.

Some have the manual pull handle.

True, but they're getting rid of all those. I only know cause for about 2 weeks straight I only ran the new trailers back to the terminal and the old ones (pull handle style) out. But yes you're correct

Yes, I know... But that would not make sense to what I was commenting about... :)
