It's a little overwhelming your first time there. They'll tell you it's an appointment, but it's really FCFS, if your load is ready, an hour, if not, up to 3 hours.

    Finfn1372 Thanks this.

I think the local guys get to deliver them. I've been on the longer runs the last few weeks, which include NC and MD. Enjoying the experience gained.

    Finfn1372 and JohnBoy Thank this.

Just getting ready to switch drivers in about an hour and a half. Right now we are just outside of Walcott Iowa. I'll make it to Brookville Pa then Chris will get us to Hazleton by 2pm.

Came in this morning expecting to go to upstate NY. No trailer number was on my dispatch from friday when i left, so just bobtailed down to hp. Found out it was pushed back a few days so went to dispatch and they had no clue. 30-45 later they figured it out and sent me to allentown pa where i sit now.

Someone had asked about mileage. Last week leaving on 7-17 and getting home around 9am on 7-21 i had 2272 dispatched miles. That was on 4 loads and two deadheads back to wytheville.

    Danch and Redtwin Thank this.

Thanks and congrats on over a million safe ones. Cause to be proud for sure.

I knew pretty quickly from reading JB's posts that we had much in common personally. I had hoped to just talk with him about Abileen but after our first conversation on the phone it was pretty clear I'd be fortunate to have him train me in the ways of AME. I couldn't ask for better. Not only have we cranked out a lot miles and had a lot of fun doing so but the knowledge he's shared will serve me for years to come. Honestly I'm beat but it's the best kind of tired. :)
