Strictly a refresher. My trainee right now has been off the road for 4 years. If I could have got the ok, I would have signed off for him to go solo after the first night.

Northeast is not bad, just dont roll thru there in the morning and afternoon rush hour and god forbid theres an accident
lol im currently otr right now but at some point I will switch to northeast regional to be home more. The past 6 months before I came here all I did was northeast so it doesn't bother me. I live in the northeast too. Extra .10 cents wouldn't hurt. I dont get why people fear the northeast. The traffic is only near major cities during rush hour just like anywhere else. Hello chicago, hello houston

MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
Are you hinting that you, at some point in the future, may go Manson on us.?JohnBoy Thanks this.

So I'll be starting phase two after orientation. If everything goes fairly normal and stay within the averages of a few weeks on each stage. I'll be away from home for a month or so. Once I go solo, Do you think Abilene will try and find me a midwest load back to IL in order to get me home for a few days? Not sure how they handle that aspect right after the training phase.

I spent last night at a QT and was impressed. They had laundry facilities and free wifi which is more than the loves across the road had to offer. The wifi worked all the way out in the truck parking lot which is better than pfj. Showers were only $8 and were nice.
Don't know if all QTs are like that, but I will be trying them again.
