Welp, both John and I thought my time on his ride was over when they deadheaded us from Office Max in PA back to richmond. But, no such thing. Guess they figure to squeeze as many miles/runs as possible from this temporay team. Makes sense from a bussiness point of view.

As such, I've decided on a new name for JB. I'll call him Johnny U-Turn from now on as everytime I think we're at the end..... Nope. LOL ... :p

Years ago I did. They sterilize medical instruments and repackage them into airtight bags

    I. was in training 7 weeks. Trainer and i both felt i could have been off earlier. Our issue was got caught in ohio around 7-4-16 and sent back out west 1 more time. Company using a team and all. Only 2 trips and 4 days in NE though. I had no cdl experience prior, but farm and police experience helped me i think.

Never heard of anyone taking as long as 6 months. I would say 3-6 weeks is more likely if you already know how to drive a truck and can demonstrate that to your trainers.

I was thinking the sterilization referred to animals or even humans and was glad I don't have a reefer.

I had only driven a tractor trailer in school also but really depends on how well you do out on the road with the trainer. If they feel confident you can handle the truck then training won't be very long. Mine was just shy of a month.

While in training the only times I got back to Richmond was to test out to the next phase of training or to change trainers and there wasn't enough time there to go home.

Training trucks are run as teams and they run hard. Lots of west coast turn and burns.
