Abilene looks like a great company. How often do they run to NYC? Do they offer any regional or dedicated runs to NYC?

It is a pretty solid company. Awesome Equipment and Great Freight too.

I just ran up to NYC and then VT to bring a full load of VT Cheddar back south.

OTR doesn't hit NYC very often although it can happen now and then... Yes, we have a NE Regional position that runs NYC at Night and all the NE.

They get a bonus 10 CPM for that region too.

I was looking at them cuz they are close to where I live. Near Roanoke Rapids. But the automatics, and driver facing cams I think did me in. I hear people like it there though

Love it here so far... Started in their Post CDL School Training Program last August and have been running solo for them since November.

The autos run very well. I don't know of anyone here that complains about them but I understand that drivers do have personal preferences. We have many very experienced drivers here that now actually prefer the autos to the manuals they used to drive. @JohnBoy might be a good one to talk to about our autos as he has 35+ years driving experience with all kinds of trucks and now enjoys his cup of coffee during morning traffic at the GWB in NYC. As for me, no plans to drive anything but an Auto going forward.

The driver facing cameras are no big deal either... Only record during an event and I don't even think about it being up there while driving. I do sometimes put a cap over it when I am not driving and the truck goes from workspace to home space.

As to people liking it here... Yes, that's fairly true... Especially the drivers on this forum. We have our share of moaners and groaners but it would not be a trucking company if no one complained about something.

Swing by the Yard and check us out sometime.

    Stay Safe,
    MD

Don't kid yourself. They record 24/7 and they can access it anytime they want.

Thus the cap over it when not working.
