    They've got the tech company guys to do that. And they WILL call your company if they see something they deem REPORTABLE!!!

    Yes, your point?

    I recently got caught doing a great job of avoiding an accident ... I received an atta boy for doing my job by driving defensively.

    As I said, many other issues at other companies that we don't deal with here. So in the big scheme of things, I'm fine with the cameras. {shrug}

    If you can't see it, I can't help you. I could suggest an optometrist.

    If you drive cautiously and just do youre job who cares about the camera? No, I don't agree with them either..but something you're gonna have to get use to. Just like e logs..don't like them at all...But something we all have to get use to. If you don't like the new technology go work at a factory with a boss over You're shoulder.

    With a driver facing camera:
    5 seconds before some idiot cuts you off and you collide and end up the ditch, you picked up and took a drink of the Pepsi in your cup holder. Camera catches it. The police, insurance companies, and your safety department see it. Bam...distracted driving. You're at fault. Company fires you, you MAY get cited, but most assuredly you will pay in court because had you not taken that sip of Pepsi, you could have avoided the crash.

    Forward only facing camera
    The only thing seen is the idiot who cut you off. They have no idea about the Pepsi. Idiot is at fault, you probably keep your job, and most likely don't get sued.

    Now, which scenario is better?

    I see the point you make..but you know as well as I do...camera or no camera..most companies nowadays are gonna fire you for doing anything anyways. I don't like camera in trucks either front facing or driver..but it's the way were going like it or not.

    You do know that @MidWest_MacDaddy is a recruiter for us right? He information is correct though, but if you go the main Abilene thread you can all the information plus more there. I run OTR, and only see the northeast maybe once every 3 months. We do go to NYC, and it is forced dispatch. This is a big boy trucking outfit

    MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.
