Abilene or US Xpress for teams or OTR

Be weary of Abilene... Knight owns them & Swift now fyi. US Xpress usually has several different opening's and different routes. Good starting point but kinda low CPM. Good luck.

 

Don't just look at cents per mile, also mph plays a part. Abilene trucks run 72mph.

Biggest downside to the company is no APUs in the trucks. And they are set to not idle between 35 and 75 degrees.

 

Abilene Motor Express trucks run 70 or 71 mph or something like that.That's where I would go, between those two choices.
Where is your location; there may be other choices to consider.

 

i started out on this forum asking the same question. now we are working for celadon despite all the negative posts. turn out they are really good for starters. 52 cpm if both have hazmat. they also have the new vacation paid package and sign on bonus. the miles we are getting are great 5500+, last week we reached 6600 (they run us from coast to coast, usually 2000+ each time). all the miles after 17000 miles a month will also be added bonus (from 6 cents+). their equipments are decent, 2016 freightliners is usually for team, with APU, fridge, and inverter. let me know if you are interested, we will spilt the 1000 refer money for sure.

 

Does Celadon have their own cdl school now?

 

i am not too sure if they used to have it but i believe they use all the rooms for orientation now
