Less than $100 and 15-20 minutes done by me. Every 10,000 miles.
5 gal bucket under the pan, open quick valve. Fill bucket and switch with another. Get that one going and break filter loose. Done draining, close valve, slide bucket over, unscrew filter and drop in bucket. Fill new filter, screw it on. Large funnel, add 9.5 gallons of your favorite oil and done. I use Traveller oil from tractor supply. $17.99 per 2.5 gal jug. Filter is around $25.
Greasing takes about 10-15 minutes and a $4 tube of Mystic JT-8. Every week.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

Drain oil from engine into pan. Roll over to tote, plug in and put the hose in tote. Flip switch.
I used to buy 5 gal pails and just put the old oil in last times pails. I can take it to the township and drop it off or dump it.Last edited: Aug 27, 2018
ShooterK2 and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
I pour mine from the 5 gal buckets into a tote in the shop and we use it in the burner for the floor heater.
Just about all auto parts stores these days will take it for free. Or find a shop that can use it for heat and give it to them.Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
200.00 oil/fuel filters, and grease. Done buy myself. Its cheaper to service semi, than my harley.

$450 for my last full PM done at a Mom n Pop. Great people, very careful and done in about 1.5 hrs. This included everything but air filter. They let me hang out in the shop and I learned a few tricks from the 2 old school wrenches working there. I always do this when I can. Priceless knowledge.
This one was about 1 hour from my house on the way home on a Friday, first time I've used them. I plan to use Speedco or whatever I can get done on the road about half the time and pay more for better attention like the place above every few changes.
I have a shop not quite big enough to put my truck in and could do it at home but with the other 5 cars I'm always playing with and maintaining when I'm home I'd prefer to just have the truck done. -
I used to wrench, then manage a few shops before i started driving. Had a lot of owner ops ask me why the price was higher than speedco. My answer was because if something is wrong my guys will find it. Oil and filters by application and normal 2 hours full pm. Every nut and bolt inspected front to rear. If brakes or clutch needed adj that was included, and tires checked. Didn't take long till my shift you needed a appt for. I told them I'm servicing your equipment like it was mine. Hangout or hit the breakroom. We will take care of it. I would allways do a freebie for a owner op. Like they come in and need a tire change and had a spare. For me 15min. For them the world. Tell them you don't owe me. Now that was the best advertisement I couldn't buy.
HopeOverMope, Tug Toy, lynchy and 1 other person Thank this. -
