Well by your actions here, you just turned it in to the company. What does it matter if you turn it into the State?

But yes, it is the equvalent of a parking ticket. I would at least call Florida DMV to discuss it with an Officer for advice. CFI won't freak over 1 ticket and a couple of points, if it comes to that.

Unlike Bigfoot and UFO's. The CFI Police are very real, and they troll this forum. Nothing but dirtbags......

Maybe they can't guess who you are by your post within this forum. Keep your fingers crossed.

What does going downhill have to do with anything........or were the brakes so defective that they didn't work? I must doubt brake failure though as there would have probably been a citation for that as well.

Could be there is more to this than what is reported, or rather what everyone including the person posting this has been told.

My name on here is CflTeam....not CFI...it is CFL for Central Florida...has nothing to do with CFI, i realize that pretty much everyone who reads it makes that mistake, but I don't feel like changing it so I just go with it. And, I dont drive yet, hoping to start school in January, so just wanted to set that straight.

The only thing going downhill has to do with it is that the speed limit dropped because of the hill and he didn't get slowed quickly enough. Yes he was speeding and that was his fault, he just wasn't speeding as much as the officer said that he was.

This post isn't about whether or not he was guilty, it is about the proper procedure of handling the ticket.

It is common for the reporting requirements to be on the document. But, in general the rule seems to be that you have to tell everything to everybody, your state and employer.
