Looking at going with PAM since I have been approved through them. When you run team miles, how is that paid. Is it paid like if you run 6000 miles you get paid for 3000 between the two drivers. Just curious? Still learning.
??? About team driving.

You split the cpm,so if you get .34 cpm you would get .17 cpm for all miles ran.
-
or .34 for half the miles. LOL.
although that's not the realistics of things. -
The good thing about teams is that a 34 hour reset can be done in 24 hours so you pick up time. If you can sleep while the truck is moving it is great. The temperature of truck can be controlled better. You are usually the first to get a load. And the best thing is the other driver can sing to you when you are blue. If you get your choice driving at night is easier then driving during the daylight. Just harder to sleep.

Thanks for the help guys. Looks like I will be going to school at Future Truckers of America in Asheboro. I am pretty excited. This is a new adventure for me. And I am gonna try an make the best of it. I have read good stories and bad. But I have to get my foot in the door somewhere. I am worried about being able to go to sleep while the truck is moving. But hopefully I will work past that. And I hope I get a co-driver that isn't a slob and takes baths. Lol.

I'd like to hear from a team of guys that teaming has workd for over time .. most, actually all the teams that I have read about are husband and wife teams.. Personally,I couldn't do teams with another guy for more than a short time training..

May take a little time but you will get used to sleeping with the truck moving. Lots of little tricks you can do to help.
I personally prefer teams but it is something you will either love or hate. The money is a lot better though. -
Here are a few things to keep in mind if you're teaming with a stranger, or I guess anyone
- one guy will always be doing more work than the other, so it will wont be fair pay.
-one guy will always be driving a crappier shift than the other, don't think you guys can alternate, it will wreak havoc on your body.
-even if you can sleep while truck is moving, keep in mind you really wont have a 10 hour break, what i mean is if you're solo at least you can stop, stretch your legs, take a walk, exercise, do whatever. as a team you are confined to that truck 22/23 hours a day. your life will just become drive/sleep/drive/sleep
-lets say things are slow and you guys are just sitting, now you have to be stuck in the tiny cab with another dude. -

When I last drove as a team driver, I was assigned to drive with a 23 year old blonde. She was 5 foot 4 and 124. C cups. She tells me that she had to quit her last job because she is a nymph. I told her no problem. And really it wasn't. We drove and it was all very professional.
Until or first 34 hour reset. We only had the one bunk so we had to cuddle. One thing lead to another and then all of a sudden it happen. I woke up.Skydivedavec and postmandav Thank this.
