I'm pretty confident I've been studying the CDL book for almost 10 years now since I was a wee lad and now I feel like I'm almost ready. In the next couple of weeks I'm going to go ahead and take the test. I've been using the practice tests on this site and they're really helping out. I'm not exactly sure what to expect to get questioned on, I'm assuming General knowledge, Combination, and Air brakes? Anyone have any idea on what exactly I should expect to get tested on for the permit? Thanks in advance

In GA you take a 50 question test on General Knowledge and 20 on the Air brake and 20 on the Combo that is the min needed to get the A permit

I really really am an avid supporter of people doing it independently. Nothing wrong with schools, but in some aspects I feel having to learn and struggle to do things correctly is the best alternative.
I reckon 1/10 coming out of a cdl school is really hitting the road for the adventure. Different statistics for people doing it on their own.Badmon Thanks this. -
What type trucking job are you looking for after CDL school?
Do you want private/community college CDL school or trucking company CDL school?Badmon Thanks this. -
Study the manual and keep doing the practice test on here and you will do fine. I found that the test on here really helped prepare me for the way they worded the questions at the DMV.

Not being a smart ###, but it tells you in the book what you have to take. In the first chapter.
