Yes, I’m very much open to flat-bedding.

I would seriously take a look at McElroy. It is a flatbed outfit that guarantees home every weekend. Also it is a Christian owned company and they would likely ensure you are home to be able to preach since you are a pastor. Best wishes to you and praying all works out well for you! Here is a link to their website McElroy Truck Lines | Flatbed Truck Driving Jobs.

If you go flatbed -- the following video gives you a good idea of what flatbed carriers will expect of you, for level of physical fitness:

Check out this video from McElroy truck lines fitness test -- https://share.google/3wjsA9mzMWuVJMH1k

You might also consider watching some YouTube videos on strapping, chaining & tarping loads....to get a better idea of what flatbed life is like.

You will be expected to properly secure/tarp your loads, as appropriate -- regardless of what the weather conditions may be -- at that time.

    Think about it....

Roehl Transport hires & trains brand new CDL holders...& has a terminal in the Atlanta area:

Roehl Transport -- regional CDL drivers -- Columbus, GA

    Roehl Transport Locations

Roehl offers the following freight types: dry van, reefer, flatbed...& also conestoga.

Some Roehl accounts would probably get you home on weekends. A good recruiter could work with you on that.

Roehl offers more hometime options that pretty much anyone else in the industry.

Suggestion: If you pull flatbed loads for Roehl, & later....flatbed freight dries up....you could then switch to a different type of freight -- & all without changing carriers/employers.

Roehl may (or may not) currently have different freight types (besides flatbed) that would get you home on weekends.

Submit a complete application to them -- wait about a week...&...if they don't call you first...call them...& discuss the above.
